“Why I hate religion but love Jesus”

While I think this is a great video, I think it’s missing the actual definition of religion. If you look it up in a dictionary, there are many definitions for it, but all of them generally define religion as a set of beliefs that an individual believes, usually concerning a God or gods.
However, I do understand that religion seemingly is changing definitions and it appears to be very negative these days and simply mean a set of rules one must follow to receive a supernatural reward, but that’s not entirely accurate (at least not currently).
I just think we need to be more careful with this reformation we’re bring about, especially when we’re trying to break from our Christian forefathers.
I think the definition of Religion he was talking about in the video is law. Legalism that Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with Jesus Christ. The point of this video was to show the grace of Jesus Christ..at least thats what I got from it. Religion says do good things, and we will accept you, when Jesus says you are a sinnner but I love you and died for you. His grace is enough! And Jesus sets us free while we can be in bondage to religion. I think thats the point he was tryin to make.
